Green Bin Collection
Victor Dunne has been in contact with Michael Kennedy regarding the Green Bin collection in the Bremore Castle estate. Michael Kennedy has corresponded with Greyhound on behalf of the residents of the estate and sent the following update to Victor:
Dear Victor,
RE: Green Bins
I refer to my previous communication, and I now attach the received response from Ms Edwina Dunford, Environmental Department, Fingal County Council.
You will note that the next collection will take place on Friday January 15th ( not 18th ) as per the notice on Greyhound’s website www.greenbin.ie. You will also be able to present all dry recyclable material for removal on this date ensuring that it is presented in a safe, neat and secure manner.
In relation to the litter issue, Fingal County Council will be sending a litter crew to the area to deal with the problem.
I trust this meets your requirements, but should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate in contacting me.
Regards,
Michael Kennedy, TD
Dear Deputy,
Thank you for your email dated the 13th of January 2010, regarding bin collections and litter.
Due to the adverse weather conditions Greyhound Recycling have been unable to conduct collections in many areas of Fingal.
Greyhound have posted an update on their website informing households in Fingal that the next collection will take place on Friday the 18th of January.
Under normal circumstances no additional waste should be presented and would not be collected. The presentation of additional waste is something that Greyhound only offer over the busy Christmas period.
Customers are advised that they can present any additional dry recyclable material provided it is presented in a safe, neat and secure manner (i.e. neatly bundled or in a clear plastic bag).
I have forwarded the report of litter in the area to our Litter Section and they will send a crew to the area to deal with the problem. If you need to contact them directly, you can call the litter hotline on 1800 20 10 93 to report litter or dumping offences.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.
Edwina Dunford
Environmental Education Officer
Fingal County Council
